Xavier Institute of Management & Research (XIMR) is one
of the most prestigious institutes of mangement in Mumbai which was established
in the year 1963 as St. Xavier Institute of Industry. XIMR has the DNA of the
finest education and human values from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. The
college has produced scientists, writers, artists, thinkers and, above all,
leaders who have shaped the practice of management in organizations across the
world.
The institute was replaced by a new Institution, Xavier
Institute of Management & Research (XIMR), Mumbai in July 2006 to meet the
rising demand for executives with a global perspective as Indian companies
increasingly sought growth beyond our borders. XIMR began with the two-year
full time Master of Management Studies (MMS) program of the University of
Mumbai in August 2006.
Vision
XIMR will be a pre-eminent, multi-cultural, global business
school. It will advance global management knowledge and practice and will be
sought after by Governments, Non-governmental organizations, Multinational
corporations, and the media for its expertise in forming persons for others,
and with others.
