Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) was
established in 1995 as an academic unit within IITB providing management
education. The objective was to transform professionals with technological
background to "Renaissance Leaders" of tomorrow. It provides
leadership in the area of management education with an emphasis on developing
all round managerial skills.
Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management’s vision is to be the
fountainhead of new ideas and of innovators in technology and science" and
is committed to playing a key role in creating an ambiance for the creation of
new ideas, knowledge, and graduates who will be the leaders of tomorrow. In
doing so, they hope to make significant contributions to the development of the
