M P Birla Institute of Management
was founded in the year 1999 at the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan,
Bangalore Kendra and blossomed into its present form with the generous support
of Late Smt. Priyamvada Devi Birla, as an associate of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, founded by Kulapati Dr. K M Munshi for propagating
Indian Culture and Values in the Society runs several education institutions
from primary schools to postgraduate colleges. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a
proponent of higher education and has supported inception of flagship
educational institutions like S P Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai. M P
Birla Institute of Management has seen rapid progress under the aegis of the
Bhavan’s trust to become one among a few select B-Schools in Karnataka.
Basis:
The basis for admissions to the MPBIM MBA is merit. MPBIM
welcomes students from all walks of life and has also welcomed students from
oversease in the past. Students must fulfil mandatory criteria for admission to
the MBA course.
The Two-year full time MBA Degree programme of MPBIM is
affiliated to Bangalore University and is approved by the All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE). It has been designed to develop Managers for the
future. This Programme provides MBA Degree to Student Executives a platform, to
imbibe procedural, theoretical and applied aspects of Management.
Eligibility
Eligibility criteria
for admission to the MPBIM, MBA Degree Programme:
- CMAT – 50% and MAT Score should be more than 500 (however while selecting, the descending order of the CMAT/MAT Scores shall be considered).
- Degree Percentage be preferably 60% and above.
- Should possess good communication skills in English.
- Work experience more than one year shall be an added advantage.
- First come first served basis.
- Photocopies of all available Marks sheets commencing from Matriculation to Degree along with the CMAT & MAT Score.
