D Y Patil Law College
Pune was started in the year-2001 under the patronage of D Y Patil
Chairman. The college is affiliated to University of Pune and approved by Bar
Council of India (BCI).
D Y Patil Patil Vidya Pratishthan Society believes in
attaining excellence in the field of education for the benefit of both
privileged and under-privileged students from Kinder Garden to Post Graduate
education.
The College is located on the Mumbai Pune Highway, 20 km
from Pune Railway Station opposite Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd., Pimpri, Pune.
Pune is 3 hours travel by Express Highway from Mumbai and is well connected by

Life @ D Y Patil Law
- As a part of practical training program our students visited the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in March 2008. Students got a golden opportunity to observe the various benches of the court including the Bench headed by Hon'ble Shri. Balkrishnan, Chief Justice of India. During their stay in Delhi, students spent precious time with Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of the State.
- The college organizes an Annual Sports Competition for its students in a variety of outdoor and indoor games like cricket, athletics events, table-tennis, carom, swimming, chess etc; in AnnaSaheb Magar Stadium.
- The college encourages meritorious sports persons by ensuring their participation in various events and tournaments at inter-collegiate, inter-university, national and international levels.
- The college aims at encouraging talented students by providing ample scope for adequate exposure in dramatics, music, arts and crafts, debating, oratory, writing etc.
- Along with extra-curricular activities, the college also holds a customary fresher and send-off party for the final Year students. The get-together is made a memorable feature of the cultural activity by complementing it with the group photo-session and speeches by eminent personalities and representatives from the various departments.
- The college runs legal aid clinics. The purpose of this program is to increase social awareness among the students and to expose them to the practical aspects of the legal process. Besides providing free legal aid to the poor, the program aims to spread legal literacy among various groups of people. The legal aid clinic's activities are carried out under the supervision of the teaching staff of the College.
