SIMSREE’s parent institute, Sydenham College is one of the most renowned Commerce Colleges in India.Sydenham College, "the first college of commerce in Asia,"was established in October 1913. It was named after the then-governor of Bombay,Lord Sydenham of Combe,who was instrumental in making the undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Commerce possible in Mumbai.This makes Sydenham College the oldest degree-awarding institution in commerce.K.S.Aiyar acted as first honorary principal of the college.It was only in 1941,twenty-eight years after the establishment of Sydenham College,that any other institute started offering courses in the subject.

On the college's seventy-fifth anniversary in 1988, the Indian Post Office issued a commemorative stamp.In 1990, TIME rated Sydenham College as the "Best Commerce College this side of the Suez."

Eligibility Criteria

MMS & PGDBM

Graduate with minimum 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% in case of candidates domiciled in Maharashtra and belonging to the Reserved Categories ) or appeared at an examination considered equivalent thereto would be treated as eligible for Common Entrance Test CMAT. Final year students can also apply for CMAT.

Note: The term 'aggregate marks' used here means the grand total marks obtained by the candidate, taken together for all the subjects, based on which the class declaration is made in that particular University where the candidate is seeking admission.

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with Minimum 2 years work experience at Supervisory / Executive level, after graduation (The 2 year period is calculated from the date of final examination at the degree level)

Candidate should appear for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the institute.

The Don Bosco Society is an international organization dedicated full time to the service of young people, especially those who are poor and disadvantaged. Founded in 1859 by Don Bosco, an Italian saint-educator, we are present in some 130 countries.

The Don Bosco Society is present in India since 1906. Today Don Bosco institutions are found all over India – currently we are present in some 400 places, spread across 27 States and 3 Union Territories of India. Bachelors Degree from any AIU recognized University with minimum 50% marks aggregate. Final year students may also apply. ITM accepts the CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT & State CET Tests.

Selection Procedure

Short-listed candidates will be called to attend the Interview Process through the course of several selection rounds, commencing in March 2014. Call-letters for the Interview Process are sent through courier, post and e-mail. In considering a candidate for admission, ITM look at his/her complete profile, including:

Admission Details

• All those who apply on the basis of CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, ATMA score card will be called for GD & PI. space
• Weightages for GD is 50 & PI is 50.
• Merit list and wait listed candidates list prepared on the basis of GD & PI and will be displayed on Notice Board in order of merit.
• GD / PI fees is Rs.500/- payable by DD / PO /Cash at the Institute on the day of GD / PI.
• Candiadates securing less than 30 marks score in CAT / CMAT / ATMA / XAT / JMET will not be eligible to get admission to PGDM / PGDM-Marketing / PGDM-Retail course in the institute. Such candidates will not be eligible for GD & PI.
• Candidates who remain absent for either GD or the PI shall be treated as not an eligible candidate for the admission to the course. It is mandatory for eligible candidate to attend both GD & PI without fail for the admission to the course.

• Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in any Bachelor's Degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an ACT of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities (10+2+3) or possess an equivalent qualifications recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
• Appeared & secured positive non zero score in CMAT (conducted by AICTE) / CAT (Conducted by IIMs) / MAT (Conducted by AIMA) / ATMA (Conducted by AIMS) / XAT (Conducted by XLRI) / JMET (Conducted by IITs) for the Academic Year 2014-2015.
• Appeared for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the Institute.
