ILS Law College (ILS), Pune was founded in the year 1924 and affiliated to the University of Bombay. With the establishment of the Savitribai Phule Pune University in 1949.

The college was affiliated to it, and today it is one of the constituent colleges of the Savitribai Phule Pune University.

ILS Law College is one of the first colleges in India to start legal education in its true sense. It is one of the renowned institutes for legal studies, which is accredited with ‘A+’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is ranked amongst the top ten law colleges in the country by the India-Today ORG MARG survey.
